Here’s my sister’s cat Louie, visiting my parents’ house for the first time. He marched straight into the master bedroom and owned it like a boss.

Sarah of lives in a converted 1880’s church in Merrickville (outside Ottawa). She put the following photo of her pooch Mu in her Instagram stories the other day and kindly sent it to me so I could share on the blog.

From me: Phoebe and Milo enjoying the late afternoon sun, Felix on his throne, and Lucky passed out on my leather pouf.

Lisa and I have always expressed our love for church conversions, and this one is one of the most beautiful churches (built in 1881 and located in Kent, U.K.) we have ever featured. The furniture is a bit hand-me-down/garage-sale so ignore all that, and just imagine what you could do to the interior. The bedroom setup is incredible. That’s possibly the best headboard EVER 🙂 Currently for sale via .

Working out on a Saturday

Not really working out, more like stretching out on a Saturday. Warrior One, a yoga studio designed by Melbourne-based interior design studio is “a physical manifestation of sophisticated, contemporary coastal culture, reflective of a space designed for transcendent experiences.”

Photography by Sharyn Cairn.

I’ll confess. I may have green thumbs when it comes to gardening but my veggie bed is a spectacular failure. Might have something to do with preparing the beds, weeding and all the hard work you have to put in. I like a jungle of a garden that looks after itself. Now I have the perfect solution for my failed veggie patch. A Malvern East garden by Melbourne-based landscape designer .

“What had been an expansive vegetable plot at the rear of this family home was to be transformed. There was a need for foliage cover, for another outdoor living zone for teenagers and young adults to congregate, for a more attractive outlook from living spaces … central to the redesign was a generous open graveled void defined by two L shaped concrete benches.”

A beautiful oasis

Sometimes you need a beautiful oasis away from this crazy, crazy world. I’ll be curled up on that sofa staring out the doors. Calm and cocooned in a elegantly relaxed home Connecticut House by .
