Stalking Victorian-era, contemporary and Japanese in Sydney

I’m stalking an urban oasis in the Sydney suburb of Paddington.  The Victorian-era terrace house has undergone an extensive architecturally designed renovation and extension resulting in a striking and unique home. From its period rooms at the front to open light-filled and cutting edge modern additions behind, from city streetscape to Japanese gardens and 25m lap pool it’s a remarkable home and even though the Sydney real estate market is showing signs of cooling the reserve at auction will be eye-wateringly high for sure. Don’t miss the video. Link while it lasts.

Thats incredible!!

This was also owned by Malcolm Turnbull at one stage too. Expected to sell around $15m. Stunning.

Ant says:

That pool is amazing !

I would have chosen a different countertop material for the kitchen. It looks the same a the floor, psychologically dosen’t work. It’s like preparing food on your floor. It works only in a bathroom.
Always seems a bit off in the kitchen.
Would have liked to seen more Victorian influence throughout. Does seem like two residences in one. Not exactly seamless.
Just me nid-picking….
