Stalking across the ditch

The addiction is spreading. Stalkers are popping up everywhere around the world. Ann from New Zealand emailed with today’s house is in Kingsland, an inner city suburb of Auckland. The 1910 wooden cottage is bursting with personality and urban style. Ann says she could happily gaze at all its loveliness but she is particularly smitten with the pressed metal cupboard in the kitchen. The caviar artwork tickles my fancy too. I remember seeing this one in a magazine. Can anyone remember which one? Link while it lasts.

Dianne Naftzger says:

I recall seeing the caviar wallpaper before as well, probably in a home magazine. Thanks for the post a lovely house.

Scott says:

I would be willing to move to NZ just to live in this one! I'll even take the cute little dog!

Julie says:

Hmm, I'd want a bit more storage in the bathroom.

You can buy the wallpaper through this NZ store

Lucy says:

Are you serious? The fireplace is out of scale to the wood storage which takes centre stage – what about actually heating the space? The coffee table is out of scale. The sofa under the aloha sign seems like such an odd location – who would sit here beside the dining table? Agree that the pressed metal cupboard in the kitchen is interesting but possibly the only redeeming feature. Not a fan.

Belen says:

all space are beautiful, but The tv is too high to watch it with comfort from the sofa. the design is nice but not functional

This lovely home featured in 'Inside Out' Jan/Feb 2011 issue. I just so happened to be flicking through an old copy recently.
